Mundo
(Dub Assembly Recs | Unit. One | Blipswitch Recs)
A first generation stateside dubstep and stateside UKGarage pioneer since 2000, Jason Mundo is a veteran in all things heavy. Mundo`s crucial weekly UKGarage and Dubstep event "Groovology" was North America`s largest UKGarage event from 2000-2005, hosted performances from the likes of MJ Cole, and Zed Bias, and saw the vinyl release of Mundo`s hit dubstep track "I Stand Rasta" supported by J da Flex, Kode 9, Hatcha, Caspa, L-Wiz, and more, the hit 4x4 Garage track "Lonely People" (sampling the Beatles Eleanor Rigby) on the Wideboys` label supported by Garage and House deejays across the UK including Martin Larner, DJ Cameo (BBC 1xtra), Richie Vibe Vee (BBC 1 Xtra), the Wideboys and more, and the hit 2step bootleg remix of Keysha Cole`s "Should`ve Cheated" played extensively on BBC Radio 1xtra by DJ Cameo and pirate radio deejays across England.

The Dub Assembly monthly event carries this tradition from 2006 thru 2009 and beyond. Jason is the only American other than Todd Edwards to spin live on BBC Radio 1xtra`s Garage shows and to spin In Ayia Napa Cyprus, summer`s UKG vacation home. . 2007 and 2008 saw Mundo go on 2 European Dubstep Tours with numerous performances in England, Scotland, Ireland, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Austria, and Germany as well as release over a dozen dubstep releases on the Dub Assembly label, both in digital and vinyl formats including the hits "Still Stand Rasta" supported on BBC Radio One by Mary Anne Hobbs, "Down In the South", "Dead Bloodklat" and dozens more unreleased killa dubs. 2009 has already seen Mundo sign 2 tracks to San Francisco`s wicked dubstep and techno label, Blipswitch, and a release is planned on a Dubstep compilation based in Mexico.

2009 and beyond will make Mundo, Jason Mundo, a household name in the bass heavy scene.

Big Ears, most recently known for his insane dubstep remixes with 6 blocc, and Rubain, a well respected mic selecta for many yrs now. One thing is for sure............ Metaphysical w/ MC Audio
(Skys the Limit Music | OffShore | Ultra | Mass Mafia | MIA & MA)

Having rocked steadily side by side up and down the East Coast for several yrs. now, Vin & AJ have regrouped at the most random of times to eliminate anything in their way. Whether it`s winning battles, throwing events, or rocking in the studio, these two are always ready. Tonight they come together to bring you some dub for the first time ever together!

MC Diggadee
(Konkrete Jungle, NYC | Outlook Skateboards | Rideability.com)
In the mid 90’s the thriving UK rave scene was still in its infancy while the north London raised MC Diggadee had a long standing passion for Hip Hop, Reggae and Dancehall. Combining this strong interest in genres frequently incorporated into Drum & Bass productions and being introduced to the scene via a Brockie set recorded at Roast (London Astoria), facilitated a natural progression for MC Diggadee’s musical taste.
Starting out as an appreciation for the genre commonly known as Jungle, MC Diggadee found himself regularly attending events promoted by the names that paved the way for Drum & Bass as it is today: Best of British, Fever & Heat, Helter Skelter, One Nation, Telepathy, United Dance among many others. The events, artists, the scene as a whole had an overwhelming effect and MC Diggadee’s future was realized.
A yet to be discovered MC Diggadee targeted local house parties and talent shows where he could fine tune his skill on the microphone. This persistent nature, coupled with accomplished performances led to a residency at a local night club in High Wycombe, England. Associating with the local Drum & Bass crews proved fruitful when MC Diggadee was requested to perform with Andy C at a local university event at the modest age of 17. This milestone was followed by further opportunities to perform at Hysteria and United Dance extremely early in his career.
Following on from these achievements, MC Diggadee returned to the U.S in 2002 bringing with him his UK attuned MC skills. The now eastcoast U.S. based MC found himself travelling countless miles up and down the east coast performing consistently throughout prime locations including DC, Baltimore, Virginia and New York City. This gave rise to further opportunities, performing with some of the major players in the Drum & Bass community from both sides of the Atlantic.
By 2006 MC Diggadee had become an accomplished MC with international ties and several achievements that an aspiring young MC could only dream of experiencing. It would be this year that MC Diggadee associated with Konkrete Jungle VA becoming their resident MC and to this day that association remains firmly tight.
MC Diggadee had the knowledge, expertise, a following and an ever growing list of associates; from the big names to the undiscovered talent – all he needed was a venue. Through his strong perseverance, "Rewind" was born. Solely organizing the only local weekly drum and bass event in the heart of Virginia Beach, host MC Diggadee gave DJ’s of every stature a place to perform, entertaining the enthusiasts and educating the uneducated. Rewind’s popularity grew and MC Diggadee found sponsorship and further affiliation through Outlook Skateboards.
Circumstance would have MC Diggadee make a strategic move up to the NYC, Jersey Metro region in 2008. Connecting with the original Konkrete Jungle family and is currently a resident MC for Konkrete Jungle NYC. Continuing to live out his passion, bringing a touch of both worlds; his unique US|UK infused style keeps the audience pleasantly intrigued which in turn drives him toward further greater success.
With many projects in the works, the sky is the limit. Current affiliations include Konkrete Jungle, Outlook Skateboards, Ability, DrumandBassmovement.com, 100% Original by Driven Am and Team Ewok NYC.
